THE HAVEN

The Haven is a peaceful and relaxed River Lodge, a perfect hideaway, located at big rapid on The River Nile. Leave all the strains of the town life behind you as you relax and gaze at the gently flowing water of the longest river in the world. Then witness the river dramatically change into a thunderous and raging rapid known locally as the 'Over Time'.

 The Nile in Uganda is one of the best freshwater fishing spots in the world. Passionate fishermen ourselves, we have imported professional fishing equipment and boats from Europe.

When we came across the 'Over Time' rapid, we knew that we had found something rare. The locals are pleased about the development, especially as we work very closely with them. They are immensely friendly and welcoming. We therefore urge you to keep it this way. We strongly believe in the idea of responsible tourism. It is our belief that the local lifestyle should be kept alive.

Here you will enjoy fantastic views and comfortable seating in which to unwind. Our resident chef has over 15 years of work experience in European restaurants. We are offering European cuisine with an touch of Africa. Meat, pasta, fish... along with fresh fruit and vegetables, grown on site and from the local village, feature prominently in our menu.

Why not enjoy a cool drink in our fully stocked bar while listening to our specially selected tunes.

Furthermore, be sure not to miss our monthly barbeque on the first Sunday every month.

There are many things to do at The Haven. You could either choose to relax in the comfortable surroundings of our River Lodge or you could partake in the many activities that we provide here. Why not:
